A Skyline Chili restaurant in Cincinnati recently became the scene of some heavy drama as one man’s visiting friend boldly, and openly, declared that the chili in front of him “wasn’t real chili.” Much to the disgust of onlookers, he then declined to take another bite of our beloved chili. Local resident and Skyline lover, Dan, was sitting in the booth behind the friends when he overheard the exchange following the man’s refusal to wolf down the ever-beautiful 3-way that was so beautiful and naked in front of him.

“Yeah, one second everything seemed cool and then the next thing you know the guy decides that the chili wasn’t ‘worth his time.’ I mean, I would have done the same thing. You can make fun of the Bengals, the Reds, our one-way streets, but you don’t mess with Skyline.”

Upon hearing his friend’s diss of Skyline, the man quickly replied with an educated response: “Oh yeah, well your mother isn’t really good in bed, either.” It was all over from there. The two stormed out of the restaurant with a fiery rage. It’s obvious that you can make fun of a lot of things about our city, but you don’t trash talk our beloved chili and get off that easily…
